CHI soft opens Ayala Center expansion

PREMIER real estate developer, Cebu Holdings Inc. (CHI) marks its silver anniversary, with the soft opening of lifestyle destination, Ayala Center Cebu’s biggest expansion yet.

Located at the southeastern part of the Ayala Center Cebu superblock, the four-level new expansion adds around 36,500 square meters of gross leasable area and is seamlessly connected to the existing mall.

With this major expansion, Ayala Center Cebu, the city’s Icon of Style, is poised to bring cosmopolitan shopping to even greater heights.

Shops now open

More than 40 shops open this December with premier brands, Philip Stein, Sledgers, Evernew, Yves Rocher, Superdry and temporary exhibits of Cary Santiago, Vito Selma and GAP opening at level one.
In level two, Bambu, British India, Just G, Yak Pak, Shoe Salon, Bootcamp, Yosi Samra, Keds, Sperry Topsiders, Mossimo, Morellato, Fresh Fragrance Bar, Terra & Agua, Sunglass Hut, Delsey and Muji also opens for the holiday season.

Various specialty stores also open at level three such as, Projekt, Kitchen Pro, Howards Storage World, Classic Hi Fi, JB Music, JB Sports, Rainbow Tots, PJs Sleepwear, Octagon, Toys R Us, Daiso Japan, Itech, Digital Village, Colours Foto, Sony Centre, Aerophone, Capdase, Asian Home Appliance, Samsung Mobile, LG Electronics, Cherry Mobile and Case Logic.

The fourth level welcomes Starbucks, Ulli’s, Seafood Island, The Suite Room, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Fudge and Idea Italia this December.

A chapel tucked among the rooftop gardens will also be opened at level four, allowing patrons a quiet solace amidst the bustling metropolis.

For the convenience of patrons and shoppers, the new expansion has a total of 884 additional parking slots with its three-level basement parking which is connected to the current basement parking space of the mall.

More to come

Over a hundred more shops will soon open in 2014, completing this exciting new shopping destination. Top brands including Zara, Tumi, Aeropostale, Mango, Fred Perry, Onitsuka Tiger, F&F, Cache Cache, Rustans Fresh and Rustans Department Store are few of the shops to look forward to in the coming months.

An impressive, well-lit atrium at the first level called, the Gallery, will soon house intimate events from world-class performing artists. An additional high-definition audio-video cinema also will soon open to the public at the fourth level.

Additional amenities to enhance the customer experience include: the first-level Concierge Desk, a family lounge with a breastfeeding nook, a Customer Lounge, and valet parking.

The new wing is inspired by world-class architecture from the façade to the interiors. It also features sustainable fixtures, LED and energy-saving lights, clerestory windows to allow natural lighting and a district cooling system which allows lesser use of energy.

With this newest addition, Ayala Center Cebu marks the completion of the retail masterplan of the mall with a refreshing take on the brand that Cebuanos have loved through the years.

In time for the celebration of Cebu Holdings Inc.’s 25th anniversary and the opening of the expansion, Ayala Center Cebu also is also formally launching its logo.

The new Ayala Center Cebu logo reflects the energy and dynamic quality of Cebu’s shopping, dining and entertainment destination as being at the center and hub of this vibrant community.

Almost two decades since it first opened its doors to the Cebuanos, Ayala Center Cebu now comes full circle with some of the biggest retail brands and more amenities for its discriminating market.

Over the years, Ayala Center Cebu continues to grow and evolve as it remains at the helm of premier shopping, dining, and entertainment in the southern Philippines.
