MANDAUE CITY, Cebu – The Bureau of Customs Port of Cebu started 2022 with a P3.3 billion collection for the month of January.

This is 70.54 percent more than the agency’s collection target of Php1.942 Billion, earning them a surplus of P1.370 billion, BOC Port of Cebu said in an advisory.

“This is the highest revenue collection and surplus ever recorded by the Port in any month,” portions of the advisory reads.

January’s collection mostly came from the importation of petroleum products, electrical and non-electrical equipment, iron and steel and rice among others.

“The Port attributes this feat to the collective efforts of its hardworking men and women and the support and cooperation of its stakeholders.”
