Starting today, Suroy-suroy Sugbo buses will be available at the Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) to transport passengers to their respective towns in the province in time for the holidays this weekend.

Jone Siegfred Sepe, head of the Provincial General Services Office (PGSO), said the buses will prioritize the elderly, pregnant women, and those traveling with children.

Eight buses from the towns of Alegria, Argao, Asturias, Barila, Sibonga, Alcantara, Moalboal and Talisay City have been deployed until Friday, October 31.

Sepe said that each Suroy-suroy bus can carry at least 50 passengers.

The routes will be determined by the CSBT administrator and buses will not necessarily be limited to travel only up to their town or city of origin.

Acting Governor Julian Daan said this will be the first time the buses will be used for this purpose.

Meanwhile, Daan allowed Capitol employees to take the afternoon off on Friday to properly observe All Saints’ Day. Offices performing vital functions are required to maintain a skeletal force.
