After getting snubbed by the PBA, Cebuanos Patrick Cabahug and Jerick Cañada continue to prove their worth as they led expansion squad Hi-Tech Bangkok City to a 76-73 victory over the Singapore Slingers to barge into the finals of the ASEAN Basketball League.

Cabahug, a product of the University of the Visayas, scored 26 points while Cañada, a former Don Bosco ace, added 14 markers.

The victory allowed Hi-Tech to sweep the best-of-three semifinals and make its way to the championship round in just its first year in the league.

Import Chris Charles added 18 points and 13 rebounds while former PBA reinforcement Steven Thomas added 12 for Bangkok, which will now await the winner of the other semifinal match-up between the Malaysia Dragons and the Saigon Heat.

Malaysia is currently being led by PBA hopeful, Fil-Tongan Moala Tautaa.
