No debate on Mandaue’s P2.7B budget

The City Council of Mandaue has approved on second reading Mayor Jonas Cortes’ proposed P2.7 billion budget for 2015 which is P900 million higher than this year’s P1.8 billion budget.

It was passed on second reading without discussion. But Suico said he cannot assure that the proposed budget will be approved uncut on  third and final reading.

In an interview, City Treasurer Regal Oliva projected a better collection of fees and taxes next year.
