Man nabbed; P1.3 million ‘shabu’ seized in Lorega sting operation
A 34-year-old man was arrested while packs of suspected shabu worth P1.3 million were seized in a buy-bust operation in barangay Lorega, Cebu City last night.
Francis Rafols, 34, was arrested in his rented apartment on Echavez Street.
The man allegedly sold a pack of suspected shabu to an operative of the City Intelligence Branch (CIB).
Senior Supt. Noli Romana, director of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), arrived in the area to supervise the arresting team in handling the operation.
Police said 21 plastic packs believed to contain shabu were recovered from the apartment.
Romana said Rafols is a level two drug pusher who can dispose more than a kilo of shabu a week.
Police said the man was monitored for a week before he was arrested.
