One man was killed while two were arrested in a buy bust operation in barangay Talayong, Badian, southern Cebu Tuesday night.
The fatality was identified as Michael Eligino, a known toughie in the barangay.
Operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) arrested Llelanda Millan Elegino and her partner, Kurt Russel Coronel Cosedo.
Michael allegedly resisted arrest during the operation. He was brought to Badian District Hospital but did not make it alive due to a gunshot wound in his stomach.
Police seized a large pack and five medium packs of suspected shabu, a homemade shotgun, a magazine with two ammunition and a digital weighing scale.
A police decoy bought P1,000 worth of shabu from Llelanda.
Supt. Rodolfo Albotra Jr., PIB chief, said that during the operation, Michael went at the back of the house and took a shotgun.
The couple employed Michael to secure their house which was also used as a drug den, Albotra said.
