On Friday evening of December 2, 2022, the little Paris in the Queen of the South gathered several guests to celebrate the coming of Christmas with a tree-lighting ceremony. It was led by Señorito Michel Lhuillier, business partners, staff, and guests.
La Vie Parisienne, located at Gorordo Avenue, is one of Cebu City’s top destinations because of its romantic ambience. Visitors can go on a date or celebrate special occasions with family and friends. The restaurant is a popular place to take pictures of the gram as it captures the chic style of a genuinely Parisian place.
More than just a great place to capture memories, La Vie is known for its wine cellar and sumptuous meals served warmly by the restaurant’s staff. That is one of the many reasons the restaurant is an easy pick when it comes to must-visit places in the city.
The Christmas tree-lighting ceremony radiated the entire restaurant with eye-catching lights. According to Lhuillier, “The tree’s colorful concept adds essence to life because it is beautiful after all. It is the time of the year we have to reflect on the whole year and whatever we did. And we should be grateful that we are still alive despite typhoon Odette that destroyed a lot of things in my properties and everything. But still, there’s hope, don’t give up; go on.”
It was the first time La Parisienne kicked off the celebration of the holiday season with a Christmas tree-lighting ceremony. Lhuillier said that he thought the ‘Tree of Hope,’ a 120 ft high Christmas tree at Fuente, which he has sponsored yearly since 2000, was enough. But this year, he wants to spread more hope and joy in every property he owns.
