Swim simulation for Cebu City Triathlon set today
THE SWIM simulation for the Cebu City Triathlon will be held today at the Cebu City Aquatic Center inside the Cebu City Sports Center.
Cornerstone Group, the organizing team behind the triathlon, said yesterday they will be pushing through with the swim simulation of the race today with around a hundred expected participants.
The simulation, which starts 8 a.m., was initially set for last Saturday but the organizers rescheduled the activity because of the “Sinulog sa Kabataan”.
Unlike other races, the organizers will only allow the participants to do the swim simulation since this portion of the race is the most crucial part, considering that it will take place in a swimming pool instead of the usual open sea.
The entire swimming portion covers a total distance of 750 meters, which can be finished in three loops.
The organizers want to do a mock-swim for the race because they will release the participants by waves according to their age groups.
