PALO, Leyte – “Poster! P50 each!”

This teener greets people with a big smile on his face as he walks the streets of Palo, selling pope posters.

Gerald Sabat, 16, traveled with his father all the way from Gapan, Nueva Ecija to Palo last Wednesday.

“I need to do this as a way of helping my parents for our tuition fee. My mother has no work so I need to help my father in earning money,” he added.

The 16-year old boy is very glad that Pope Francis is visiting the Philippines especially super typhoon affected areas like Tacloban and Palo.

The 16-year old boy also asked Pope Francis to continue to pray for the Philippines especially to the victims of calamities.

“As I observed the people are slowly recovering and they still need help and of course our prayers,” he said in Tagalog.
