What did the Pope eat during his hour-long morning flight to Tacloban?

Members of the Pope’s official party, including the so-called Vatican Accredited Media Personalities (Vamps) were served snacks, mostly junk food, during the hour-long special Philippine Airlines flight yesterday.

A picture posted on the Instagram account of Jose Torres, editor of the Union of Asian Catholic News and one of the Filipino journalists who joined the Holy Father’s journey from Rome to Sri Lanka and the Philippines, showed a bag of chips, a pack of Magic Flakes crackers, Eng Bee Tin hopia and bottled water as among those served in the special Philippine Airlines flight.

Torres, a former seminarian who jumped over to journalism, told CDN the Pope took a bite of the chips and had juice.
