ALL IS SET for today’s Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Cebu Chapter Sinulog Chess Team Open Tournament at the Deep Blue “D” Wood Pusher Chess Club at the SM City Cebu.
Around a dozen teams have signed up for the two-day tournament that features not only Cebuano rated players but also Certified Public Accountant (CPA) professionals from various participating companies.
Teams from Oriental Port and Allied Services Corporation (Opascor), Visayan Electric Company (Veco), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Cebu City Government have teams for the tournament that will be using a single round robin match point system format.
The winning team will take home P12,000 while the runner-up will get P8,000. The tournament starts at 1 p.m.
