AS PROMOTIONAL outfits ALA Promotions International and Top Rank have not come up with an opponent for the much-awaited comeback of former five-division world champion Nonito “Filipino Flash” Donaire, the World Boxing Council (WBC) offered its vacant North American Boxing Federation super bantamweight title for the latter’s scheduled fight on March 28 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

In a report from Philboxing.com, WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman effectively approved a fight with the NABF super bantamweight title at stake for Donaire  (33-3, 21KOs) against any of the top 10 contenders for the title.

In the report, Sulaiman spoke to NABF president Duane Ford to support the joint promotion of ALA Promotions International and ABS-CBN dubbed  “Pinoy Pride Series,” which is on its 30th installment on March 28.

Horacio Garcia is the current number one in the January 2015 ratings of WBC’s NABF super bantamweight division.  Donaire is scheduled to train here in Cebu City for two weeks at the famed ALA Boxing Gym in Talamban.
