Police yesterday arrested a farmer with a stash of unlicensed guns in barangay Tabunan, Cebu City.
Supt. Romeo Santander, chief of the City Intelligence Branch of the Cebu City Police Office, said they were tipped off that Froine Bontuyan kept several guns at home and carried one whenever he left the house.
The CIB secured a search warrant from Judge Gilbert Moises of the Cebu City Regional Trial Court.
A team served the warrant yesterday.
Among the weapons seized from Bontuyan’s residence were a .22 cal. magnum revolver, a .357 cal. revolver, two .38 cal. revolvers, a .45 cal. pistol and rounds of ammunition.
