The UC College of Law Mooting Team won 3rd Place and 3rd Best Memorial in the Southeast Asian Regional Rounds (SEARR) of the 19th Stetson International Environmental Law Moot Court Competition held at the UP College of Law, Diliman, Quezon City last January 7-9.
The University of Cebu will join the University of the Philippines and Ateneo de Manila University, making it an all-Filipino group representing Southeast Asia in the international finals at Stetson University in Florida this April 16-18.
Team members include oralists Kara Mae Noveda and Ian Dominic Orino; Researchers Leivj Raoni Alimangohan, Marielle Mahilum and Kristine Joy Argallon; and ably coached by Atty. Rose Liza Eisma-Osorio.
Last February 2013, UC College of Law also ranked third in the Philippine Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition with UC’s bar topnotcher Manuel Sarausad, Virgil Vallecera, Merachelle Borracho, John Menguito and Carl Batucan as team members.
