This year’s Pasigarbo culmination, held at the Carcar City Sports Complex last August 27, was marred by technical glitches, which spawned speculations, controversies, heated discussions, and even memes online. The controversies surrounding the ‘festival of the festivals’ prompted Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia, who hinted at ‘sabotage’, to review and re-compute the results.
Organizers also eliminated online votes as part of the criteria for judging.
The initial results, announced on August 28, crowned Carcar City’s Kabkaban Festival as the biggest winner. The contingent ruled on the Festival Queen, Street Dance and Ritual Showdown competitions.
