CEBU CITY, Philippines–The Evangelistic Christian Basketball League (ECBL) Cebu is set to hold its second season starting on November 26, 2023 at the Adventist Academy gymnasium.

The tournament will be dubbed the Revelation Cup.

The ECBL, led by the First Evangelical Free Church, envisions to Transform Players for Christ. The tournament is driven not just to promote sports but to inspire through the word of God.

There will now be eight teams joining this tournament, a big jump from the four that started last year’s competition.

The teams will be composed of different individuals with various beliefs with the same goal to become aligned with the league’s mission.

The ECBL tournament is expected to run for  three-and-a-half months.

Games will be aired live online via the ECBL CEBU FB page.

The opening is expected to be jam-packed with all the players led by the core group, partnering spiritual and sports adviser former PBA player turned preacher Coach Lawrence “Tata” Merced, with a special appearance of former Cesafi MVP Jaybie Mantilla.
