Suspects steal P500, diapers, cigarettes from convenience store in Antipolo

MANILA, Philippines — Authorities are searching for two suspects who allegedly robbed a convenience store, taking P500, a pack of diapers, and other goods, the Antipolo City police chief said on Friday.

According to initial police reports, the duo entered a 7-11 convenience store in Barangay San Roque, Antipolo City in Rizal at 12:30 a.m. last Monday.

“Initial investigation disclosed that the two unidentified suspects pretended as customers and with intent to gain using a screwdriver declared holdup,” said the police report.

Antipolo police said the suspects stole one pack of diapers, one pack of cigarettes, a store phone and petty cash worth P500.

“Ongoing pa po ung investigation natin regarding po dito,” Antipolo city police chief Lt. Col. Ryan Manongdo told INQUIRER.net in a message.

(The case investigation is ongoing.)

Manongdo said there is limited evidence aside from the security camera footage from the convenience store.
