CEBU CITY, Philippines— Three Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) championship bouts will add spice to the already-stacked fight card of Prime Stags Sports’ “Prime Fight IV” Boxing Series on December 29, 2023, at the SM Seaside City Cebu Sky Hall.

Prime Stags Sports boxing stable’s Kit Ceron Garces returns to the ring six months after his most recent fight.

Garces, from Talisay City, south Cebu, will battle Harry Nier for the PBF super flyweight title in an eight-round scheduled bout.

It can be recalled that Garces lost to an unheralded opponent, Noli James Maquilan, in the undercard of the OPBF title bout between Milan Melindo and Chaiwat Buatkrathok last January at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC).

Garces lost via unanimous decision, shocking Cebuano boxing fans.

However, he bounced back six months later in June with a second-round technical knockout win against Ernesto Camiguing in a non-title six-rounder duel at the Talisay City Sports Complex.

He now boasts six wins with five knockouts and one defeat.

Meanwhile, Nier recently suffered a defeat to Lorenz Dumam-ag last September in Manila via a fourth-round knockout.  He holds a 4-1 (win-loss) record with two knockouts, previously unbeaten in four fights.

In another PBF bout, Michael Adolfo will face Albert Parilla, vying for the PBF super bantamweight title in an eight-round match.

Lastly, Ian Donaire (5-2-1, 4KOs) will face Kier Espera (5-5-1, 1KO) for the PBF bantamweight title in an eight-rounder bout.

The rest of the fight card will include Jason Canoy Manigos versus Renan Portes, John Ver Espra versus Celmar Abejuela, and John Magos versus Jomari Ladera.

The main event will feature Pete Apolinar against Lingjie Xia for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental featherweight title.

The co-main event will pit former world champion Milan “El Metodico” Melindo against Tanzanian Mchanja Yohana.
