CEBU CITY, Philippines — Except for a motor banca that sank along the Mactan Channel, this year’s Fluvial Procession was successful.

More than 200,000 watched and joined the seaborne procession of the Sagrada Familia, composed of the Señor Sto. Niño, Our Lady of Guadalupe, and St. Joseph the Laborer, authorities said.

CEBU CITY, Philippines–The fluvial procession of the Sto. Niño together with the images of St. Joseph and the Our Lady of Guadalupe, also known as the Sagrada Familia, was witnessed by thousands of devotees on Saturday morning, January 20, 2024.

The galleon carrying the Sagrada Familia images sailed through the Mactan Channel together with other sea vessels as part of the 459th Fiesta Señor celebration.

CEBU CITY, Philippines — The fluvial procession of the Sto. Niño together with the images of St. Joseph and the Our Lady of Guadalupe also known as the Sagrada Familia or Sacred Family happened this morning.

The galleon carrying the Sagrada Familia images (the MV Martin 8) sailed the Mactan Channel together with hundreds of pumpboats and other sea vessels as part of the 459th Fiesta Señor celebration.

The MV Martin 8 will be carrying the blessed images of Señor Sto. Niño, the our Lady of Guadalupe, and St. Joseph the Worker in the sea procession which is one of the most awaited events in the Fiesta Señor calendar.

Even after a short delay, devotees who came out on early Saturday morning remain in high spirits as the sacred images of Señor Sto. Niño, Our Lady of Guadalupe, and St. Joseph were paraded around the port area onboard the official galleon.
