Ex-bus terminal manager cleared

The former administrator of the Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) was cleared of  charges stemming from a  sexual harassment complaint  by  a vendor two years ago.

Vicente Dejoras Jr. was cleared by the  Committee on Discipline and Investigation (CODI) of the Cebu provincial government which dismissed the cases of abuse of authority, unjust vexation and sexual harassment.

In 2013, vendor Mariecel Toledo alleged that Dejoras told her to report to his office and then forced a kiss on her inside the room.

The vendor alleged that when she resisted,  he threatened not to renew her vending permit.

The charge was dismissed by the CODI for lack of merit in March.

Dejoras was relieved from his post  for allegedly mauling a bus dispatcher last year.

However, the case was later dismissed for lack of evidence.
