BAKBAKAN sa Sugbu returns today with a set of exciting Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and kick boxing bouts at the Cebu City Sports Institute in barangay San Nicolas, Cebu City.
The monthly combat grassroots program of the Cebu City Sports Commission and Yaw-Yan ArDigma Cebu Martial Arts Inc. will feature amateur MMA and kickboxing bouts. The event starts at 2 p.m. and is open to the public.
In the main event, Yaw-Yan ArDigma’s Roel Rosauro takes on Mark Cuizon of Cebu MMA.
Rosauro recently won via knockout against Redner Mendoza in Leyte.
Duane Gacasan, meanwhile, will make his MMA debut by fighting Rambo Galleto of Malawi Fighting System.
On the other hand, kickboxing will be spearheaded by the fight between Sif ‘Axeman’ Badio of Unified Mixed Martial Arts and Maven ‘Pretty Boy’ Rabanos of Project X. Bernard Enopia of Simaron MMA will also take on Romerick Mocoy of Unified MMA.
In the kiddies’ division, Lander Caniga of Yaw-Yan ArDigma will slug it out with Edward Pelone of Durex KBC while Yul Martinez battles Benedict Torbiso.
