Guns, drugs worth P300T seized in Tejero buy-bust raid
POLICE seized illegal drugs worth P300,000 and assorted firearms from a man suspected to be a drug pusher in barangay Tejero, Cebu City.
Roel Gingoyon, 32, was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted inside the house of Harold Dequitos, who was arrested last year for drug and murder charges.
Gingoyon sold a pack of suspected shabu to an operative of City Intelligence Branch (CIB) who posed as buyer past 1 p.m. yesterday, said Insp. Gomersendo Mandawe.
Packs suspected shabu worth P300,000 and firearms were seized from Roel Gingoyon in a buy-bust operation in barangay Tejero, Cebu.
Police said Gingoyon was placed under surveillance for two weeks before he was arrested.
Gingoyon was allegedly carrying a .9mm pistol when arrested.
He was also caught in possession of 17 small packs and a big pack of suspected shabu.
An Uzi automatic pistol and a .38 revolver were also recovered in the house.
Gingoyon denied being a drug pusher.
The suspect said he was in the house since he was hired by Dequito as a caretaker after the homeowner was jailed.
