The speed limit at the South Road Properties (SRP) was set aside last weekend to give way to the Cebu leg of the Vios Cup Season 2.
Noted racers from around the country—including celebrities—came to test their circuit-racing skills at a modified track at the SRP, all gunning for series points, cash prizes and bragging rights.
This is the first time a circuit race sanctioned by the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP) and the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the world’s governing body for motorsports, was held in Cebu City.
The Vios Cup is a one-make series featuring Toyota’s best-selling vehicle in the Philippines, the Vios subcompact sedan. All participants drove in race-ready Vios sedans.
