Cesafi Esports League brings 6 top-notch matches this weekend
CEBU CITY, Philippines – The Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) Esports League (CEL) Pre-Season brings top-notch Esports action this weekend.
Six matches are set in Mobile Legends Bang Bang and Valorant.
Tomorrow, Saturday, June 22, catch University of Cebu (UC) Main Webmasters vs. University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Adelante at 10 a.m. in the MLBB tournament.
It will be followed by the University of San Carlos (USC) against Cebu Eastern College’s (CEC) clash at 1 p.m.
Completing Saturday of matches is the duel between the UC Lapu-Lapu Mandaue (UCLM) and the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) at 3 p.m.
To recall, USC swept their back-to-back matches against the University of the Philippines (UP) Cebu last June 15, while UC Main edged the University of the Visayas (UV).
In contrast, CEC eyes a comeback after losing to the Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) in the other featured MLBB game last June 15.
On Sunday, three matches will also spice up the ongoing Valorant tournament.
In the first match, UCLM will square off with USPF at 10 a.m., followed by USC against UV at 1 p.m.
The last game features USJ-R versus the CIT-U at 3 p.m.
USJ-R eyes back-to-back wins in their Valorant game on Sunday after nipping UP Cebu last June 16, while UV aims to bounce back from their loss against CEC.
All matches are played remotely per team, while they will be streamed live via CEL’s official Facebook page. /clorenciana
