Grand Land formalizes partnership with Dusit

Construction of Grand Tower Cebu to start in 3rd quarter
Gaisano-owned Grand Land, Inc. will hold later today the ceremonial signing of a management contract with Dusit International for a four-star hotel in the Cebu North Reclamation Area.
The 295-room Dusit Princess hotel will be the first Dusit brand in the Visayas, said Grand Land president Ryan Bernard Go.
“We’ve already sealed our partnership with Dusit. This (ceremonial signing) is just to announce the partnership in Cebu,” Go said. Grand Land and Dusit earlier signed technical and marketing agreements.
Other Dusit brands are in the pipeline, with Grand Land and Dusit considering the construction of serviced apartments and additional hotels in Cebu, he added. Potential sites for future Dusit projects have been identified.
The first Dusit Princess hotel will occupy 11 floors of the planned 30-story Grand Tower Cebu, a mixed-use development which will rise across the SM City Cebu Northwing. The entire project is estimated to cost P2 billion.
“We’re very upbeat about this area because most of the new developments in Cebu are here and in the (adjacent) Mandaue north reclamation area. It’s well planned, with wide roads, and very accessible,” Go said.
Go said they hope to break ground for Grand Tower Cebu by the end of the third quarter of this year. The hotel is targeted to be completed by 2018.
“We’re just waiting for the regulatory permits. We’ve filed the applications already. Once the permits are released, we’ll start building,” he said.
The building will also offer 309 condominium office units spread across 12 floors as well as retail and commercial spaces at the ground floor, Go said.
The office units are targeted to be delivered in late 2017.
Grand Land is the property development arm of the Gaisano Grand Group.
Its other projects are the Grand Residences condominium complex in Banilad, the City Homes subdivisions and the Amani Grand resort condominium developments.
Dusit International, on the other hand, is a leading hospitality company in Thailand with over 60 years of experience in the hotel and hospitality industry.
Aside from Dusit Princess, its brands include Dusit Thani, Dusit Devarana, Dusit Gold and Dusit Wine and Dine.
