Boholano Czar Amonsot, now based in Australia, continued to roll since ending a two-year break as he scored a fourth-round technical decision win over an Indonesian opponent last night in Victoria, Australia.
Amonsot secured his seventh straight win by beating Rusmin Kie Raha, allowing him to defend his PABA super lightweight title and snatch the vacant Pan African Super lightweight title.
The 29-year-old Amonsot tallied his 29th win with three draws and three defeats. The former ALA Gym stalwart has 17 knockout victories.
Raha suffered his eighth loss with 14 wins, three knockouts and two draws.
Amonsot, whose real name is Augustus Caesar Amonsot, is best remembered for fighting toe-to-toe albeit in a losing effort against one of the best Australian boxers, Michael Katsidis (31-7, 24KOs) in 2007.
The fight went the full 12-round route.
Because of the heavy blows he received, Amonsot was advised by doctors to rest for at least two years after a scan revealed a brain hemorrhage.
Amonsot returned to action in 2009. He marked his return with two draws before putting up his current winning streak.
