Cebu City tankers rule Siliman swimfest

Team Cebu City Niños- Cebu Blue Marlin Swimming Club emerged overall champions in the 114th Silliman University Founder’s Day Novice and Advanced Age Group Swimfest last  Saturday at the Silliman University pool in Dumaguete City.

The Cebuano team finished with a total haul of 78-48-27 (gold-silver-bronze).

The Negros Oriental Blue Dolphins Swimming Club settled for second place while third place went to the Dipolog Blue Marlin Swimming Club.

CBM male tankers who secured gold medals were Quintin Zee Sabalande, Mike Gabrielle Dela Serna, Michael Ichiro Kong, Rafael John Dacaldacal, Martin Samuel Del Rosario, Benedict James Orio and Val Andre Chiu.

In the distaff side, gold medalists were Mary Pauline Indaya, Mika Ella Carredo, Maria Michaela Pecilla, Isabella Marie Diehl, Karen Mae Indaya, Justine Reign Garrido, Micah Marie Dela Serna, Lindsay Ann Gonzales, Blithe Don Castillo, Dionifel Ann Saraga, Jo Arriena Cabanes, Alexa Angel Asibal, Dionilyn Jade Villahermosa, Rein Isabella Villano, Bencynth Ghail Luage, Mai Kawabata  and Shane Allyne Pareja.

Most Outstanding male swimmers of CBM were Sabalande of the Don Bosco Technology Center and Rafael John Dacaldacal of the University of Cebu (UC). In the girls’ category, Mai Kawabata and Micah Marie dela Serna of UC were named Most Outstanding Swimmers.
