Mount of soil stalls traffic on P. del Rosario St.
A MOUNT of soil poured in the middle of P. del Rosario and D. Jakosalem intersection caused traffic congestion yesterday morning.
The soil also caused motorcycle driven by a police officer with his wife as back rider to slip and fall to the ground.
SP04 Noel Evangelista and his wife Bella were immediately brought to the Cebu City Medical Center.
Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO) operations head Joy Tumulak said they are yet to establish if the soil was deliberately poured in the middle of the road.
He said they have yet to identify the dump truck and the driver so they can be charged for obstructing the traffic flow in the area.
He added he will check with the Cebu City Environmental Sanitation Enforcement Team (CESET) what specific charge can be filed against the driver.
