The Mandaue City government recognized outstanding employees during its 46th Charter Day celebration last Aug. 30 at the Mandaue City Cultural and Sports Complex.
The awarding night served as the culminating activity of the city’s charter day.
Mayor Jonas Cortes, assisted by Vice Mayor Glenn Bercede and city councilors, gave the award.
Michelle Yu, human resource officer of Mandaue City Hall, said there are a total of 19 #iammandaue awardees.
Of the 19, nine are city hall employees, while the other awardees are from the different government agencies.
The awardees are Analisa Patindol (barangay health and nutrition), Lotis Mantica (clean and green), Rebecca Dabon (day care worker), Ludivina Dayanan (janitorial and security service unit), enforcer Celedonia Tariman (Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue (TEAM)), supervisor Roger Mendoza (TEAM), Joselyn Beltran (job order employee), Eden Baring (regular employee) and Edna Seno (department head).
Police officers, jail officers and firemen also received awards. They are Supt. Michael Anthony Bastes, chief of the Investigation and Detective Management Branch of the Mandaue City Police Office, F01 Andresito Lawas Jr., Senior Jail Officer 2 Jonathan Medina and SP04 Marcos Noval Jr. (non-commissioned police officer).
The Subangdaku Police Station headed by Insp. Miguel Andeza also received a plaque for being the most outstanding police station.
Also awarded as outstanding barangay officials were Paknaan barangay captain Malaquias Soco, Tabok barangay councilor Elmer Rivera, Canduman barangay secretary Freddie Olis, barangay Basak treasurer Juvy Hatamosa and Paknaan tanod Nilo Manatad.
There are also 56 persons who received the first milestone award. Six retirable employees were also awarded.
The city government also recognized athletes who won five gold, seven silver and three bronze medals in the Special Olympics World Summer Games 2015 in Los Angeles California, the Mandaue Children’s choir for winning the top prize in the Georg Friedrich Internationales Kinderchor Festival in Halle, Germany and board exam topnotchers.
