Traffic enforcers to get protection

THE Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO) said it will protect its personnel from abuses committed against them by violators of traffic laws.

CCTO executive director Atty. Rey Gealon said last Tuesday, traffic enforcer Perelyn Dosdos was insulted and threatened by a 13C route passenger jeepney conductor after his driver blocked traffic flow at Pelaez corner P. del Rosario Street to pick up passengers.

Last Thursday, Gealon said parking attendant Sandy Ramas was threatened by a taxi driver when he asked him not to park along Fuente Osmeña circle.

“I lauded them for their efforts in pursuit of our campaign against traffic law violators. We are preparing a case to be filed against those who threatened our personnel” he said.
