San Fernando Mayor Antonio “Abe” Canoy filed his certificate of candidacy for 1st district congressman under National People’s Coalition (NPC)
“Displaced” San Fernando Mayor Antonio “Abe” Canoy filed his certificate of candidacy for 1st district congressman today.
Allied with the Liberal Party-Cebu (LP-Cebu) in 2013, Canoy is now under National People’s Coalition (NPC) after LP in Manila favored Alayon’s Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas.
Gullas is the district’s incumbent congressman.
LP standard-bearer Mar Roxas earlier expressed his preference for Gullas as congressman of the district due to close family relations.
