Refilled butane canister bears ‘Type O’ campaign sticker
A REFILLED butane canister that allegedly bore a “Type O” sticker was bought by the Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council yesterday.
Refilled butane canisters bearing Type O campaign stickers are being sold in Tejero and Talamban.
CCDRRMC research and planning chief Harold Alcotin said he went to barangay Tejero and managed to buy the butane canister that he suspected is being sold for sometime now.
Councilor Dave Tumulak, who heads the council, said the canister lacked the label required for standard butane canisters.
Tumulak said they are waiting on the Department of Energy to order a confiscation of the refilled butane canisters.
“Type O’ refers to the Bando Osmena-Pundok Kauswagan (BO-PK) camp whose standard bearer, former mayor Tomas Osmena, is running against Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama.
