LOCAL bowlers sizzled in the first day of the 7th Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association (CETBA) National Open at the SM City Cebu Bowling Center.
This after 55-AB team one and Manny Bueno of the Bowlingplex Tenpin Association (BTA) lead their respective divisions after the early rounds of the tournament.
55-AB team leads the team qualifiers with 4,654 pinfalls after eight games while CETBA’s EO Bucoy Consultants Team one is at second with 4,625 pinfalls. BTA-1 is currently at third with 4,525 pinfalls.
Meanwhile, Bueno currently leads the masters’ qualifiers after downing 1,624 pins.
CETBA’s Joseph Yu Sr. is at second with 1,594 pinfalls followed by teammate Docdoc Gothong with 1,588 pinfalls.
Around a hundred teams from Cebu and other parts of the country joined the tournament sanctioned by the Philippine Bowling Congress.
The champion in the team event will take home P15,000 while the masters champion will walk away with a whopping P50,000.
