SOME 3,000 runners are expected to answer the starting gun this morning for the first ever Three Sixty Pharmacy Home Run that will start and finish at the Sumilon Road in Cebu Business Park, Cebu City.
Race director Joel Baring of Sports and Fitness Enthusiasts (SAFE) revealed the final number of runners who have enlisted to join today’s cash-rich running event which is also a fund-raising activity of Three Sixty Pharmacy. Proceeds of the race will be used to help homeless families living on the streets under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The running event features three distances, the 4-kilometer, 8k and 16k and will give out cash prizes from the champions up to the 10th placers in the premier 16k race as well as medals. The non-winners on the other hand, will receive bags of goodies from the running event’s sponsors.
Around P50,000 in cash awaits the winning runners. The top five finishers in the 8k and the top three in the 4k distances will receive cash.
The first 15 mother and daughter (12-years old below) tandems to finish the run together in the three distances will like get a special prize from race organizers.
The race route will cover the Banilad road, Talamban and Cabancalan areas. Gun start is set at 5 a.m.
