CEBU Province hopes to jack up its medal tally as three of its taekwondo bets gun for the gold today in the 2015 Batang Pinoy Nationals at the SM City Cebu.
Cebu Province’s finalists are Arwin Sorrosa, Dineson Cañeda and Wendil Rama.
Sorrosa will face Quezon City’s Mico Chua in the cadet male fin category while Cañeda will face Bulacan’s Marco Rubio in the light category. Cebu Province mentor Michael Realista’s prized fighter Rama will take on Shun Kine Tiu of Cagayan de Oro in the fly category.
Two other Cebuanas from Mandaue City and Cebu City also booked spots in the finals.
Alyssa Montera of Mandaue City will be going up against Cagayan de Oro’s Lonale Sumatra in the welter finals while Cebu City’s Julia Ybarra will face Baguio’s Liquiza Obas in the light heavy class.
