Mandaue seniors to get P1,500 cash aid today

SENIOR citizens of Mandaue City will each receive P1,500 which is the second tranche of their annual P3,000 cash aid from the Mandaue City government starting today.

The Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) will start distributing the P1,500 aid to each of the 14,000 registered senior citizens in the city today until Friday this week.

Today, the cash aid will be distributed to barangays Tipolo, Subangdaku, Bakilid Uno, Bakilid Dos, Casuntingan and Banilad.

Tomorrow, the seniors of barangays Ibabao Estancia, Alang alang, Opao, Looc, Paknaan and Labogon will get their share.

This will be followed by barangays Centro, Mantuyong, Cambaro and Guizo on Wednesday; barangays Umapad, Basak, Jagobiao, Canduman, Maguikay and Cabancalan on Thursday; and barangays Tabok, Pagsabungan, Tingub, Cubacob, Casili and Tawason on Friday.

OSCA focal person Michael Pielago said the seniors cash aid will be raised next year.

“By next year the seniors will receive P6,000 annually. It will also be distributed twice a year,” he said.
