ALL IS SET for the first ever Hayashi-ha Shitoryukai Karatedo Cup this Sunday at the Insular Square in Mandaue City.

Around a hundred karatekas are expected to compete in the one-day tournament organized by the Hayashi-ha Shitoryukai Karatedo Club.

The teams that will compete are Eskrido of Bogo City, COSCA of Dumaguete City, Cebu Technological University (CTU) Karatedo Club, NOKF, Hayashi-ha Compostela and CVKA.

The host team won 13 gold medals in last October’s Buglasan Festival Karatedo Championships held at the Robinsons Place Dumaguete City. They also won numerous gold medals in the Milo

Little Olympics Visayas Regional Finals held in Iloilo City where karatedo was a demo sport.

Their biggest win this year was in August, when they hosted the first ever First Mayor Joel Quiño Visayas Karatedo Open Championships. The team harvested 18 gold medals in the one-day tournament at the Compostela town Sports complex.
