A FISHERMAN who went missing last Friday was confirmed dead after his remains were found floating in the waters off the Larawan Beach Resort in barangay Tangke in Talisay City at 10:15 a.m. on Monday.

Personnel of Talisay City’s Local Risk Reduction Management Office said the remains of 56-year-old Delfin Macoto had been decomposing which indicated that he had been dead for more than 24 hours.

Macoto, a resident of sitio Ratan in barangay Tangke left home early on Friday morning to fish at the Lagundi Reef and was not heard from since.

His wife Judith said they recovered Macoto’s banca after it washed into shore last Friday afternoon.
