Cebu Liga 2002 kicks off

FOOTBALL powerhouse, Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) will field two squads in today’s start of Cebu Liga 2002 at the PAREF Springdale football pitch.

DBTC A will face Guardian Strikers FC in the opening match set at 8:30 a.m. in the 11-aside football tournament which is open to 14-under players. The event hopes to expose local football squads to the standard 11-aside format.

DBTC B and Consolacion FC will square off at 3:30 p.m. at the start of the month-long tournament organized by football patron Carl Baring.

In today’s second match, the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) will battle another football powerhouse University of San Carlos-Basic Education (USC-BED) at 10:30 a.m. to be followed by host team PAREF Springdale FC against Don Bosco Boys Home FC.

On Saturday, DBTC-A meets USC-BED in the first match followed by Guardian Strikers FC versus SHS-AdC. In the afternoon, PAREF Springdale FC takes on Consolacion FC while Don Bosco Boys Home FC and DBTC B square off in the last match.
