A FISHERMAN was stabbed dead by his nephew following an argument in Barangay Poblacion, Samboan town, southern Cebu last Thursday night.

Hildo Dinopol, 44, succumbed to a stab wound in the chest. His attacker, Marlon Garcia, 31, sustained hack wounds in different parts of the body.

Police said the two men were having a drinking session when they got into an argument.

At the height of the argument, Dinopol drew a knife and placed it on top of the table.

Garcia grabbed the knife and stabbed the victim in the chest, said PO1 Sergebeth Heramis of the Samboan Police Station.

A wounded Dinopol took a bolo and repeatedly hacked Garcia.

The two men were later brought to a hospital where Dinopol later died.

Police said it was not immediately known what caused the argument.
