At this stage of his career, Jhack Tepora knows that every fight counts. That’s why expect him to go all-out when he takes on Jason Tinampay in the inaugural edition of the  “Who’s Next?” Pro Boxing Series scheduled this Sunday at the Robinsons Galleria Cebu Atrium.

“This fight is very important for me. This could finally give me a shot to fight for a world title,” said Tepora in Cebuano in an interview with Cebu Daily News yesterday.

Apart from targeting the vacant WBO Asia-Pacific Youth super-bantamweight belt, the 20-year-old Tepora will also be putting his unbeaten record on the line in the six-fight event presented by Omega Pro Sports International and backed by Hyundai Tucson, Robinsons Galleria Cebu, Harley-Davidson Cebu, Omega Pro Pain Killer and Y1O1.

“I know him (Tinampay) as a fighter. I’m a slugger so this is going to be a good fight. I am not promising to score a knockout win but I’ll be there putting up an impressive performance,” said Tepora, who has 16 wins under his belt.

Tepora has 11 knockout wins and has won his last six fights via stoppage.

With less than a week before the fight, Tepora is now working on making the 122-pound weight limit.

“I am 126 pounds now. Making the weight is not going to be a problem. I’ve sparred for more than 100 rounds. I am very prepared,” he said.

Tinampay, however, is no easy prey for Tepora.

Tinampay has seven wins in nine fights and is coming off a TKO victory over Marjhun Tabamo last Jan. 28 in Getafe, Bohol.

The main undercards will also have PBF flyweight champion Vergilio Silvano (20-6-1, 12KOs) going up against Fernando “Batang Bato” Ocon (13-10-1, 5KOs) of Tagbilaran City, super-featherweight prospect Jerry Castroverde (7-2, 4KOs) taking on Ryan Quimbo.

Other fights are: Mark Vicelles versus Ronald Cajes; Ar-ar Borbon versus Russel Rosales; Allan Villanueva versus Macmac Baribar; and Filjun Taneo versus Anthony Galigao.
