A FEMALE street dweller was shot while walking along Gabuya Street in Barangay Pardo, Cebu City at 6:50 am Tuesday.

Eluna Bilona, a 37-year-old native of Samboan town, southern Cebu, was shot at pointblank range by an unidentified assailant who was heard by witnesses shouting “dah kawatan man (good for you, you’re a thief)” seconds after the shooting.

SPO2 Rommel Bancog said Bilona was rushed to the Cebu City Medical Center.

She had a single gunshot to her chest that exited to her back.

A bag that contained a .347 revolver was recovered from the crime scene. The bag was believed to belong to Bilona.

Bancog said people in the area claimed that Bilona is known to have worked for several families and stole from them.
