Dr. Utlang is back as City Vet

DR. ALICE Utlang is back on her old position as City Veterinarian under the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Fisheries (DVMF).

Utlang, however, is still the head of the Cebu City Office on Substance Abuse Prevention (Cosap).

Mayor Michael Rama transferred Utlang, who was then city veterinarian, two years ago to Cosap.

Utlang said she requested for her return as city vet because that was her real position before she was transferred to Cosap, and she felt that the office has been neglected.

Since she assumed office last March 17, the DVMF  confiscated 204 kilos of hot meat in Carbon market alone.

Utlang took over the post held by acting City Veterinarian Pilar Romero, who is also Utlang’s assistant.
