Real estate agent gunned down

A 60-YEAR-OLD real estate agent was fatally shot by a man who pretended to be a scavenger in Barangay Pajac, Lapu-Lapu City early yesterday morning.

Thelma Auditor succumbed to a gunshot wound in the head.

PO3 Luisito Ernie said the victim was walking toward the main road when she came across a man whose face was covered with a piece of cloth.

When the victim got closer, the assailant drew a gun and shot the victim before running toward the interior portion in the area.

Police said the victim’s jewelry, mobile phone and cash were not taken.

The victim’s husband told police that his wife had received death threats from a member of the Alimaong tribe whose identity he did not divulge

He said his wife was involved in a conflict over a parcel of land occupied by some members of the tribe.

The case is still under investigation, police said.
