A courtesy call on the mayor, a motorcade followed by a rally are among the activities today as Presidential aspirant, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and his running mate, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano bring their campaign to Toledo City today.

Duterte’s advance party was in  Toledo City yesterday to talk to Mayor John Henry “Sonny”Osmeña regarding his presence on stage with Duterte and his slate.

“Naa na mi mga tao nga nakig-istorya ni Mayor Osmeña on his possible sharing of the stage with Duterte,”said lawyer Rex Fernandez, head of  Duterte’s Cebu Campaign Team.

These talks however do not include the possibility that Osmeña would join Duterte in the motorcade, said Fernandez.

He said he was also not aware if Osmeña would endorse Duterte, but added “he (Osmeña) will make his decision in his own time.”

Last Tuesday, Osmeña endorsed the presidential bid of Vice President Jejomar Binay, of the United Nationalist Alliance during his kickoff rally for his reelection campaign.

Earlier, Alma Mondigo, Osmeña’s Information Officer said Osmeña will share the stage with Duterte and Cayetano and is even scheduled to deliver a speech after Duterte and Cayetano.

The PDP Laban standard bearer is expected to arrive in Toledo City for a courtesy call at the mayor’s office at 2:10 pm after which a motorcade would follow at 2:30 pm from Barangay Liloan until the St. John de Sahagun Shrine, where Duterte would meet the parish priest.

Duterte and Cayetano are expected to proceed to the parola where the rally will be held

At 4 pm. Duterte will proceed to Cebu City to attend the Forward Women Assembly of  Visayas Women Leaders at Sugbutel, where a women’s agenda will be presented to him.

At 7:30 pm, Duterte will attend the 22nd National Convention of the Federation of Motorcycle clubs of the Philippines at Fort San Pedro located inside Plaza Independencia.
