Kong leads the way for Region 7 tankers

Michael Ichiro Kong led the Region 7 swimming team to a strong start in the Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) National meet in Koronadal City, South Cotabato today.

Kong hauled in two gold medals after topping the 200-meter butterfly and 400m Individual Medley (IM) events in the 17 and over competition.

His efforts helped Region 7 stay in second place in th Region 7e partial medal count in swimming with eight golds, five silvers and two bronze medals.  Region 6 currently leads the pack with 9 golds, 10 silvers and eight bronze medals.

The swimming competition will continue today and will end tomorrow.
