UC downs USP-F in Tabunok

THE University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters continue to show signs of life heading to the new season of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation as they essayed a 93-83 win over the University of Southern Philippines-Foundation (USP-F) Panthers in the 1st Barangay Tabunok Inter-Collegiate Basketball League Tuesday night at the Tabunok Sports Complex in Talisay City.

New recruit Geleant Delator is quickly showing everyone why he’s one rookie to watch out for this year as he scored 24 points to lead the Webmasters’ balanced offensive assault. Jan Jabello tallied 19 points while Peter Codilla and Justine Dacalos added 14 and 13 markers, respectively.

UC led 20-17 after the opening canto and broke the game wide in the second with a 22-12 bomb for a 42-29 halftime lead.

The Panthers sliced the deficit to six, 59-65, after a 30-point explosion in the third but the Webmasters struck hard in the final canto to snatch the win.
