Motorcycle rider shot, cohort escapes from police in Toledo

ONE motorcycle rider got shot while his back rider escaped pursuing police in barangay Matab-ang in Toledo City at past 7 pm last Sunday.

Dominador Barcoma is recuperating from a gunshot wound on his left leg while police continue to look for Jessie Chris Racal, who has a pending arrest warrant for a murder case.

Barcoma is a resident of barangay Casili in Balamban town while Racal is from sitio Maraat in barangay Matab-ang in Toledo City.

SPO2 Joselito Genon of the Toledo City police precinct said the two suspects were spotted riding a motorcycle in barangay Matab-ang when they were flagged down by the police.

Instead of slowing down, Racal pulled out a gun and fired shots at the police while Barcoma drove the motorcycle. Police hit Barcoma on the left leg causing him to fall off his motorcycle.

They also recovered the black motorcycle and one .38 caliber revolver from his possession. Racal who managed to escape, left behind his wallet which contained a fake PNP ID and one .9 mm pistol with five bullets.
