Two persons were injured in a motorcycle collision along the national highway in Mandaue City at 11:15 pm last Saturday.

Police said one of the motorcycle drivers identified as Caroline Tajos tested positive of liquor intake and may face a complaint for reckless imprudence resulting to damage to property with physical injury.

The 28-year-old Tajos drove her Honda motorcycle with plate number HP-3694 along M.L. Quezon Street in Mandaue City while her 49-year-old back rider was identified as Mila Gorre of Lapu-Lapu City.

Mandaue traffic investigators said Tajos’ motorcycle suddenly swerved to the left and collided with Camilo Tampos who traveled in the opposite direction.

The 44-year-old Tampos rode a Yamaha STX with plate number YJ-03891 and was headed to the nearby barangay Tingub when the incident occurred.

Police said Tampo and Gorre were brought to the Mandaue City Hospital for treatment.

Gorre was later transferred to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center while Tajos was brought to the North General Hospital.
